Foundation & company history

  • 1962
     The company is founded by André Padiou in La Limouzinière near Nantes (France).
     → Building the first caravan in a small workshop behind the family home.

  • 1976-1978
     André Padiou travels through the USA with his family in a converted Dodge - inspiration for the construction of motorhomes.
     → Return to France and development of the first Pilote motorhome.
     → Start of motorhome production at the company.

  • 1981
    → Establishment of our own dealer network for Pilote in France.
